Hello again.
Last week I found quite tough. I guess it is with things starting to pick up again as Boris wants us to get out and spend money. I can’t help but think that we should be protecting people from COVID still – it still has not gone away.
As I write this, it is Sunday and it is the first weekend I have had off for what seems a long time. I think the pressure I put on myself to make the most of it perhaps got on top of me, and yesterday I had a little bit of a wobble. But don’t we all? What is important is that you speak about it, or practise some self care, whatever form that may be.
For me, it is having a bath or shower, spraying some nice fragrance and listening to the sounds of nature. This weekend, we have been forecast winds of 50 miles an hour, making it difficult to sit in the garden. But every cloud has a silver lining – at least my washing will be dry in no time!
But I love listening to to the wind and the rain. There’s something so comforting about feeling warm, cosy and safe. Yes I would love for it to feel a bit more like July, but we have to make the best of what we have. And the sun is shining.
So after a cleaning, tidying and sorting. I sit by the open window and just listen to the sound of the wind among the branches and the leaves. And it is so soothing. Change is coming, and for the better!
Now someone please bring me a giant cup of tea and a good book!
Charlotte
