Hello everyone.
Sorry for the silence; I have had a busy week with work and university, but I am starting to wind down for Christmas – finally!
What a tumultuous week it has been?! I am thinking of you all at this awful time with the most recent announcement from the PM. Christmas won’t be what many of us had hoped for, but we’ll make the most of it.
If you have a friend who will not be spending Christmas with their loved ones, call/message them to let them know you are thinking of them. Take care of yourself. I think it is perfectly acceptable to feel really down and gloomy; the dark nights don’t help. But remember – you are not alone if you feel this way. Reach out to people – don’t isolate yourself further. Remember there is hope; there’s a vaccine on the way, we will see each other again and be able to give great big hugs and kisses to those we miss and love (make sure they know you!). Tomorrow marks the Winter Solstice – the nights will be getting lighter – a true sign of hope.
Keep ploughing through – we’re nearly there. Be kind to yourself.
Sending you love and hugs!
Charlotte
